The Duotone Paradox SLS 2026 is a lightweight, surf-oriented mid-length foil board for experienced parawing, freefly wing, Foil Assist and prone riders who prioritise early take-off, efficient pumping and agile turning.
- Earlier release with less pull: the low rocker, pulled-in outline, pronounced rail bevels and step tail reduce wetted area and help the board build the speed needed to lift onto foil.
- Efficient between bumps: the low front-foot position is designed for projecting the board forward while pumping through downwind sections.
- Connected turning feel: a thin, recessed standing area puts the rider closer to the foil for control through turns.
- Low swing weight: lightweight Biax Carbon construction and reduced nose and tail area keep the board responsive once flying.
- Purposeful crossover: developed for parawinging, with verified use for advanced freefly winging, Foil Assist and prone foiling.
Paradox SLS versus Skybrid
Both are mid-length foil boards, but they are aimed at different riders. The Paradox SLS has less rocker, a narrower surf-style outline, more bevel and a step tail. It releases and pumps more efficiently and feels more agile, but it gives up some stability and high-speed control.
The Skybrid is the more accessible all-round choice for wing foilers who value stability, speed control, two-foot strap options and occasional jumping. Choose the Paradox if your priority is parawing, linking bumps or advanced strapless freefly riding. Choose the Skybrid if you mainly wing foil, are still progressing, or want the more forgiving platform.
Paradox SLS versus Midfish
Duotone positions the Midfish primarily for Foil Assist, particularly in stronger wind. The Paradox has a narrower, more efficient shape and is designed to lift earlier with less power, making it the stronger choice for parawing and Foil Assist downwind sessions where take-off efficiency matters most.

Questions and answers
Is the Duotone Paradox SLS suitable for beginners?
It is not our first recommendation for a new wing foiler. Its narrow, performance-focused shape rewards riders who already have reliable board and foil control. A Skybrid or a wider conventional wing board will normally be easier while learning starts, balance and gybes.
Can you wing foil the Paradox SLS?
Yes. Duotone lists it for advanced wing freefly use as well as parawing, Foil Assist and prone foiling. It suits experienced riders who want early release and a surfier feel rather than maximum stability.
Can you jump the Paradox SLS?
The Paradox SLS is not intended as a jumping board. Its lightweight construction and front-strap-only layout are aimed at low swing weight and freeflight. Choose a suitable Skybrid SLS if two straps and occasional jumping are important.
Does it include footstraps?
No. Duotone's V-Strap or Single Strap is available separately.
Which Paradox SLS size should I choose?
Start with Duotone's published rider limits in the table, then account for your ability to balance a narrow board, your foil and local conditions. Riders who are between sizes or new to sinker starts should contact us before ordering.
