What is a changing poncho ?
Changing poncho or beach robes are a towelling or nylon lined zip jacket, the towelling robes are designed for getting changed on the beach or car park into and out of your wetsuit, these will normally have a hood and be a baggy fit so you have room to getting changed, the towelling robes will not keep you warm.
The Nylon jacket robes like Dryrobe have a windproof shell with a fleece style lining, these are heavier weight and thicker robe and will keep you warm on the beach, these may not dry you off as well as a towelling robe, but they are the best choice if you're standing around exposed to the wind and rain.
Why are beach robes so big ?
Beach robes or changing robes are traditionally big and baggy, so you have room to get changing into your wetsuit without exposing your self at the beach or car park.
